Eleesha Gatti
Eleesha brings over 15 years of experience in education, with a deep passion for supporting diverse learners. She completed her Master’s in Special Education in 2019, strengthening her expertise in inclusive teaching practices. Throughout her career, she has worked with students from elementary to high school, including supporting students through literacy intervention. Eleesha played a key role in launching a new program for autistic students in Elk Island Public Schools in September 2020. Her current role is as a Specialized Supports Consultant, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide guidance, coaching and resources for staff, students, and families. Eleesha is dedicated to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments that empower every student to thrive.
Tamia Richardson
With over three decades of experience in education, Tamia has dedicated her career to fostering student growth and providing support across multiple school divisions in Central Alberta. Tamia has built a diverse teaching portfolio, having taught students in elementary through high school. Her extensive teaching experience spans a variety of roles, from classroom and program teacher to school counselor and administrator, allowing her to develop a comprehensive understanding of the educational landscape and student needs. She is currently working as a Specialized Supports for Students Consultant with Elk Island Public Schools and can find her in K-12 classrooms on a daily basis collaborating with school teams and a multidisciplinary teams to consult on effective strategies and interventions that promote inclusive and equitable learning environment.
Tanya Krekoski
Tanya is a seasoned educator with 18 years of experience in Elk Island Public Schools, where she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to fostering student success and well-being. In her current role as a Supports for Students Consultant, Tanya works alongside multidisciplinary teams to provide targeted support, ensuring that students receive the personalized resources they need to thrive academically and socially. With a deep interest in psychology and neuroscience, she actively engages in research to deepen her understanding of cognitive development and its impact on learning. Her passion for continuous growth drives her to integrate the latest research into her practice, developing evidence-based strategies that create meaningful, impactful learning experiences. Tanya’s dedication to both professional development and the success of her students has made her a trusted leader in the field of education.
